Fictions Betwixt and Between New Work, 2026

The colour is too bright and jarring, yet strangely lyrical and childlike. The suggestion of perspectival depth is impossible to read, pushing in and out, creating a sense of both euphoria and unease; an opening out into something else and an entrapment into possible chaos. Through the push and pull of shape, colour, composition and texture, these new paintings evoke impossible spaces; abstract structures with the emotional charge of memory and feeling.
